Day One Hundred and Eight - Hair x100

So this morning I read on the Hotmail sign-out website [you know the one - I think it is a main source of news for Joseph who is a bit too lazy to go elsewhere for news] and it had an article debunking hair myths. Being so ultimately girlie-girl [ahahahaha] I just had to click. Most of them were things I knew already. However, one of them was the thing about brushing your hair 100 strokes to increase it's healthiness. I think the idea is that it distributes your head's natural oils so that your hair looks and feels soft and shiny. It was probably popular back in the 1950s when women had more time on their hands and making oneself pretty was mission #1 in life. Also, I saw it in The Brady Bunch film and I love that movie.

So tonight before retiring to bed I brushed my hair 100 times. It didn't really take that long, but after about 10 brushes my hair was as untangly and brushed as it gets. The rest just made me static-y and then I started to notice more strands of hair coming out [and I normally seem to lose a scary amount of hair]. Apparently that's exactly why you shouldn't do this - it can make your hair fall out. However, my Google-fu reveals that websites are still split on this - some people are saying it's some ancient Chinese secret to reinvigorate your chi.

Also, it's been exactly one year since I last cut and coloured my hair. Oh my, we have had some awkwardness, but now it's okay and I can't justify doing anything to it on my budget. Also, one year since Britney Spears shaved her head...we are like star twins.
