Day Ninety-Five - These Got Peanuts And Soap In Them!

I'm not quite sure how it happened, but apparently I have gone some 29 going on 30 years of somewhat well-rounded life without ever eating waffles. Unless my mum can confirm otherwise. I only realized this last night as Joseph and I were watching Invader Zim. Normally the food on Invader Zim looks entirely discusting and is enough to give one a weekend case of anorexia. This time, Gir prepared waffles and they looked tasty. Just a bit crunchy on the edges. Then, I thought - I've never had waffles! Pancakes, sure. Gaufres in Belgium, sure [please note that Belgian Waffles you get in North America are not the types of waffles you will get in Belgium].

Today I decided to remedy this situation and I ate waffles with strawberries and whipped cream. We went to the Golden Griddle, since I was more in the mood for that kind of vibe, rather than going for anything more classy. I generally favour savoury to sweet, but these were quite good. Though I did feel like I was just eating dessert. Not breakfast/lunch. Also delicious? Home fries.

Try 'em with peanut butter - delicious!

I would love to do so - but the restaurant had pretty limited choices. This further encourages me to carry peanut butter with me everywhere.
