As previously mentioned [I do like to previously mention things and now that we are @ Day 300 I think you probably know everything one would ever really need to know about me - or at least all that I am willing to reveal] I am a pretty big Batman film. I don't have much to back this up aside from watching the films [the ones with Michael Keaton and with Christian Bale - let's not talk about the other two] and owning one graphic novel. And merchandise. Mostly I just think that the idea of Batman is pretty darn cool. Also, it's interesting to see how Batman has evolved through the years - very evident this evening as I watched the original Batman film from 1966. I had previously seen a few minutes of it on TV @ 3:30 in the morning, but this time the Bloor Cinema was playing it and it was FOR FREE for members. Membership does have its privledges [and obviously this is so super exclusive].
I don't really think that my words can do this film any justice. If you haven't seen it, I would highly recommend that you do so [and it's totally fun for the whole family unlike the filthy fun of The Dark Knight]. It's fantastic comic book film satire - which is pretty interesting because the film was released before there were roughly 8.3 million comic book films released each summer. So for anyone feeling the burnout from such films - I would recommend this as a good release. Incredibly funny, incredibly silly...Adam West is a total legend. And although there is no Batman dancing [what about the Bat-tusi?], I think perhaps Senor Bale could learn a thing or two about inflection and comedic timing from this film.

I didn't even know there was a Batman film made in the 1960s, although I do remember watching the TV show. I though it was cheesy even back then!
Yes, I think this film was made @ the conclusion of the TV series - I think it was a made-for-TV film. It was great to see up on the big screen! And yes, super cheesy, but that's kinda the point. It's totally making fun of itself!
