Day One Hundred and Sixty-Six - Luddite

It's not that I am like the Unabomber and completely anti-technology and out living in some shack [unless I can have internet and TV out there]. However, I think I am resistent to new technologies [okay, except for rockin' new flat screen TVs - if anyone wants to buy me a large and expensive version of one of these, I will not complain], especially ones that become overly popular. If it weren't for my friend Sue I would have used a mobile phone probably only twice in my life [I find them difficult to hear with and awkward to speak into].

Another thing I'm completely unfamiliar with is digital cameras. I know I keep talking about getting one so I can big up my blog, but I'm not sure that will ever happen. I'm not a fan of digital cameras as I am an owner of a manual camera [yes, it weighs a million pounds and has no flash, but also - no batteries!] and any developed photos I've seen from them kinda really suck. However, today I was working as a photographer @ the PowerPlant and I used a digital camera. I suppose it went okay. There is something very...impermanent about it. I feel like I wasn't taking the pictures as there is no counter thing moving forward. The camera is so light and throwaway [kinda like the pictures themselves]. I demand weight-iness, I demand gravitas! Also, everything is so erasable. I don't like that - I like crummy, random photos that you have to get developed and wait for. I know - it's a shocking admission from the ever-impatient one.
