My long quest is over! I'm happy to report that I bought [and used] Wii Fit! We have been looking for Wii Fit since it came out @ the beginning of May and due to [I'm assuming] the growing number of fat kids in Toronto it has been flying off the shelves. Joseph thinks that all of the unemployed bums have been able to pick them up as they aren't doing anything else. To that I say - I am only partially employed! Today I went off to Zellers to NOT buy videogames, but stopped into the electronics department anyway and there they were - three boxes of Wii Fit [I just bought the one]. Delighted [until I found out how heavy it was] I bought it and carried it home to hide in the closet until after my shift @ the museum this evening. I wanted to surprise Joseph, but I think he's getting too accustomed to how awesome I am @ finding games/consoles so he didn't seem that shocked.
Since tonight was a bit of a bad night to be really trying anything out too much due to me being @ the museum we only managed to load up our Miis and do the balance test and a few of the games each. I'm assuming that sometime over the weekend I will play it a lot more and then either bust my head open slipping off the balance board or hurt my ankle/knee or maybe a brand new injury [this is what's wrong with all other consoles - I just can't hurt myself enough playing them - only a little bit]. While I'm delighted with my BMI [and my weight as it's lower than I thought] and with the fact that the talking balance board didn't call me an out-of-shape fattie, my Wii Fit age is a whole decade older than my real age. Boo! However, I am out of shape - I know that. I am very curious to see exactly how fit I can get if I do dedicate myself to the Wii Fit regime [barring injury of course].

I wanted a Wii, but we (read DH) decided we needed a PS3 instead, so we can use it as a Blu-Ray player. I may have to buy the Wii (and Fit game) for myself and hook it up to the basement TV).
You must get a Wii! We are gamers [okay, mostly Joseph] so we have a lot of consoles - basically everything except for X-Box. We don't have a PS3 yet, but will be getting one shortly now that there are some good games for it.
But Wii is amazing and is my clear favourite...
