Day Two Hundred and Sixty-Five - Ring The Alarm

When we moved into this house last August one of my main concerns was the gas cooker. As someone who enjoys cooking - the kitchen is the most important room in any home. This kitchen is nice enough - I like that it's right @ the entrance to the house - it's very welcoming that way. However, I was generally concerned that my cooking on a gas cooker would result in non-hilarious explosions or death by poisoning. Well now, eleven months later, I can say that I've now done everything to ensure that this won't happen as I installed a carbon monoxide alarm. So, no more attempted suicide by sticking my head in the oven yet. As the alarm is possibly the most obnoxious noise ever.

Yes, we got the alarm a long time ago, but I am very cautious with the cooker and use the fan all the time - I just didn't think it was a problem. Also, to be honest I was under the impression that it would be quite the procedure to install. It...was not. Though I did plug it in upside down - just for kicks. The biggest obstacle was that the alarm was packaged in that annoying hard plastic that is shaped around the object and is impossible to even cut through.

I still don't fully get the gas cooker. Like, I don't get how it's not killing me as it is poisonous. Especially when things get baked or whatever - seems to be like marinating something in poisonous gas might not be the best way to enjoy delicious food, but what do I know - I am not a scien-titian.
