Day One Hundred and Thirteen - Total Eclipse Of The Moon

I suspect that this might be a popular thing on the many Thing-A-Day blogs out there, but perhaps everyone else is better @ actually leaving the house and paying attention to their astronomical surroundings than I am. It's particularly sad when you consider that I have been to Space Camp [multiple times!] and I was a full-on space nerd for years and years [yes, I built my own telescope]. And while I have seen many solar eclipses [and yes, I did look @ them because I'm bold that way and since I'm totally not blind I think it's a scam] - to the best of my rememberance I have never seen a lunar one.

Thankfully today the cosmos saw fit to remedy this and everything aligned properly and I witnessed a lunar eclipse. Even better was the fact that I didn't have to go outside to witness this, though I did have to stand in my unheated back hallway thing [have I mentioned that it's been insanely cold here since like...forever, I think?]. The eclipse was really cool, especially when the Earth made it turn all red. I mean, I've totally fried my brain cells that remember stuff about astronomy, so all I know is that lunar eclipses lay the beats down to solar eclipses. Suck it solar eclipses!
