Oscar parties are fun, but Oscar parties with themes are more fun. However, I didn't have an Oscar party as I don't think anyone I know is interested. What I mean by that is that I don't know anyone who would like to geek out @ the Oscars the way that I like to. So, I do this alone. Joseph was technically in the room, but was playing a new videogame with headphones in. Usually I take my cues from the films to see if I can come up with something interesting to eat or drink. This year, the choice was rather obvious. I made chocolate milkshakes. Mmmmm, milkshakes are so, so delicious. And quite easy to make, even as a first-timer.
It might have been a disappointing night for There Will Be Blood, but it was not disappointing for milkshakes. I was ready to offer mine up in consolation for P.T. Anderson, as the milkshake conquered me with the mighty power of dairy sickness. So very sick feeling. I kept waking up sweating and having bizarre dreams. I wonder if there really are milkshakes in TWBB.
So - I got half of my Oscar picks correct! Joseph also got half of his correct. So, put together we are quite the team. Half is still good.
