Since I don't really like xmas all that much I usually aim to finish my xmas shopping before Canadian Thanksgiving. This year...not so much. Too much time spent @ work and in personal pursuits and being restrained by not having the slightest frakking clue what anyone wanted. So today - my first day off - today was the day to get it all done. Off to the mall I went.
My mum was the biggest problem so eventually I resorted into just wandering into random stores and seeing if they had gifts for my mum. Now, I know people will find this hard to believe, but I get a bug up my arse about certain stores and I just vow to never ever go in. And then I forget the reason why. One of thse stores is Roots [again with me being a bad Canadian] - I have never gone into one of their stores, never worn any of their product. But today I went into a Roots store. I didn't spend a huge amount of time in there as the stuff was too expensive for me...but I did take a good, hard look. I don't really get what makes their product unique or interesting in any deservable way. In addition, I also went into Lululemon - a store that baffles me more now that I've been into it. Damn - them yoga pants are pricey. Sure - they make your ass look good - but at what cost?
Also - shopping complete. My mum is getting an awesome sweater. And a fondue set. I'm totally not kidding.

I've been in a roots store, but am far too cheap to buy anything. I don't get it either. (Similarly with lululemon - I generally wear old stretched out tank tops & cheap shorts to exercise in. I'm not trying to impress anyone.)
