Although we are only sixteen days in I am noticing that many of my ETs seem to be social in nature. I feel the need to clarify that I generally am not very social. My life is usually pretty much home-work-home. Also, I'm quite shy/socially awkward/not quite introverted, but definitely...odd. So, social things really are a big deal to me.
One of the good things about work in the last few months is that I am friends with people @ work. And outside of work. That is a bit unusual for me. Through my coworker/friend Sue I have met someone who owns her own salon. Tonight I attended a mixer @ a hair salon. I like the word mixer. Other things I like include sushi, cheese, fiery olives and tiny hors d'oeuvres so small that I could have fit like five @ once in my big mouth [but I didn't as I am a classy lassy]. The salon is very chic and there were many, many beautiful and highly dressed and styled people there, but I tried to not be too intimidated and I did not run away. This is progress.
