So, as faithful readers will know I was thrwarted in my earlier attempt to change a lightbulb while standing on a ladder. Well, today I was finally able to answer that age-old question - how many skinny, unemployed brunettes does it take to change a lightbulb? The answer is - there can be only one! Today I changed a lightbulb while standing on a ladder. I have really never done this. Lightbulbs don't go out that often and when I lived @ home my dad always changed them because he was the tallest and he didn't need a ladder.
Thankfully we have hip 70s track lighting in the kitchen, as opposed to the hip 90s recessed lighting elsewhere in the house. The track hangs lower, so I could reach it while on the ladder. However, I did have to unscrew the casing around the light, which was difficult as I could barely reach and I had the lights turned off in the kitchen. But yes, lightbulb changed it was all systems go...until I realized that the bulb sticks out too much to firmly reattach the casing. Also, it makes an annoying buzzing sound. So yeah, back to the shops for more lightbulbs. They be expensive.
