Day Fifty-Three - Signatures

Tonight Joseph and I "had" to go out for dinner @ a slightly posh hotel restaurant. I had won a gift certificate that I won last year @ our United Way campaign and it is expiring before the end of this month. So, off we went.

We arrived for our reservation late [as usual]...and there was...no one there. Eventually a waiter came out and took our coats and my Santa hat [which was going to be my thing du jour], giving us tickets for them...and then we got to choose whatever seat we wanted in the restaurant as it was entirely empty. So yeah, we were the only two people in the restaurant. The music was loud...our conversation was quiet...and I got to control the lights. It was quite something. We stayed for an amazingly long time. I ate champagne grapes, a tiny souffle and then there were dessert appetizers. Prosecco and fancy salt were present as well. Rather than being cavernous, it was actually quite an intimate evening.

Good times.

Sounds great! The most memorable times are usually those that are the least expected.
