Day One Hundred and Twelve - I Coulda Been A Contenduh!

Today I had to go down to the Harbourfront Centre and since it was like -17 or something [that's Celsius, my American friends] and windy and icy and I'm wearing a skirt, I thought - hey, why don't I go on a little jaunt along the waterfront? That's a perfectly cromulent suggestion - thanks brain. So, I did - I took a walk on the waterfront [alone and in the winter]. And, let me tell you - the sea was angry today, my friend - like an old man in a deli trying to send back soup.

Okay, it's not a sea, it's a lake [a Great Lake!], but it was still angry. Lots of waves and white crests [which I've not really seen in Toronto, although I don't tend to go to the waterfront in the summer since my summer working @ the harbour]. And, lots of birds - I guess they were too lazy to fly south for the winter. Also on the harbourfront is an ice rink [manmade], but apparently there were adverse conditions due to weather, but people were skating [and really, isn't "cold" the main condition for ice?] and having a jolly time [why don't they have jobs?]. It was also much, much colder on the waterfront than anywhere else in the city.

Also, I accepted a volunteer position with The Power Plant. I'm very excited about this as it will require me to actually speak to people about art - modern art installations. Unfortunately I couldn't see the gallery today, but I am getting a tour next weekend - yeah!
