Day One Hundred and Nine - Table For Two

Joseph and I went out to celebrate Valentine's Day [okay, more of an excuse to go out for dinner, not really in honour of that day] a bit late. Not just because Valentine's Day was two days ago, but because we couldn't get a reservation until 9:30 p.m. So, I was pretty starving and it was freezing out and I had to arrive @ the restaurant alone...and to my surprise I was led to a special booth. In fact, it's not really a booth, but like a tiny private room...or closet. A very dark one.

So tonight I dined in a super-private area of a restaurant. You could even pull across a thick velvet curtain and completely close off the area. Our waiter would knock every time he would come over. It was like being swathed in velvet, in fact. Big tapestry type things hung floor to ceiling and there was only a blue light...and also a disco ball. It's a very eclectic place. The food was also very good, but I was disappointed that I couldn't have my favourite catfish and collard greens. But, mmmmm - pecan pie and crab cakes. And privacy - you can't top not having to listen to other people's conversations and having to censor yourself. Really very awesome.
