Without giving myself entirely away, my hometown is located in the snow belt of Midwestern Ontario. So I always had a lot of snow growing up. A lot. Usually from October to May there would be snow, often snow that was taller than me [okay, I'm short]. I live about 2.5 hours away from there now, but it doesn't snow too often or too much here in the big city. So I knew that going home would be my big opportunity for this new thing.
I liked building snow forts and houses and snow angels when I was younger. But never a snowman [or snowballs, but that's because there was a severe punishment for that]. I dunno why - I probably thought it was a bit of a hack move or that it required patience [it does]. But today, with surprisingly limited snow and only the crappiest non-packingest snow available Joseph and I made a snowman. It most clearly resembles ET - the alien. It was very small [about half my height maybe?], but we worked really hard. We spent well over an hour trying to make it bigger and better, but a lot of factors were against us. I do have photographic evidence, but you will have to wait until I get the photos developed the old-fashioned way.
No digital camera under the xmas tree for me.
